Popular free online dating site OkCupid expanded into an app which lets users browse profiles, send messages, and seek blind dates with its “crazy blind date” feature. OkCupid uses algorithms to match users with those of similar interests.

Whitney Wolfe Herd founded Bumble after departing Tinder in 2014. Bumble also owns Badoo, one of the most popular dating apps in Latin America and Europe. Badoo founder Andrey Andreev asked Wolfe Herd to join him and build what eventually became Bumble.
