No specific qualifications are needed for entry in to this job. You must be physically fit and be a British, Irish or Commonwealth citizen, or have British dual citizenship. Youll need to be aged between 16 and 32 and pass the Royal Navy recruitment process. Jobs in the Royal Marines are open to men and women.

What happens if you fail Royal Marines training?

If recruits fail to meet the required standards at any stage, they will be given another chance to try again but if there are repeated failures then ultimately the decision rests with the Commanding Officer as to whether a recruit will have to leave and is allowed to come back and try again.
